CROP PROCESSOR

Gehl engineers have incorporated a pair of crop processing rolls directly behind the cutting cylinder on Models 1085 and 1285, allowing you to cut and process corn silage in a single field operation. The high-speed grooved rolls crack kernals, break up the cob and shred the stalk material.
The benefits of processing corn silage include:
- Increased milk production
- Improved herd health
- Processing prior to storage increases feed quality
- Harvester can be set to deliver a longer length cut without large pieces of cob or whole kernals getting through the processing rolls
